I Pre-Ordered the new U2 album on iTunes & got the single "Get On Your Boots" b4 it's official release date. HTDAAB was all over the internet weeks b4 it hit the shelves because someone stole a master out of the studio. Guess they beefed up security a bit on this one. With good reason too. There's a lot of anticipation in U2 fans for this new material. Thats how it should be.
So, back to "boots"... I've listened at least 15 times now and it's growing. I love the beat and Adam's bass line grinds your soul as usual, Edge shatters & shreds through with his classic riffs, and the lead + background vocals are flow, wail, & roll. It reminds me of 10 U2 songs in one. They say its the "Vertigo" of this album and I think I agree. Can't wait to hear the rest of the tracks. I read a Dave Fanning interview and he said there are a lot of buried "gems" much like "Man and A Woman" was to HTDAAB. I'll through in "Wild Honey" on ATYCLB or "Trip Through Your Wires" on Joshua Tree. Aparently there are some lengthy tracks that are suppose to blow us away too.
Anyone else heard "Boots"? Have an opinion? Love U2...Hate U2... or hate that u love U2... lol?
